There is a shift in the market from ground-level housing to ‘class’ housing. Seniors who left the city in the 1960s and 1970s are now returning. Expats also prefer a nice apartment. They are used to living in world cities. They are not familiar with the Dutch ideal of a house-tree-animal. Both groups consist of people who can afford something.
